At long last, I’ve created a posted elevation profile for The Dick! It looks kind of silly but it’s accurate. I just tweeted that it looks as if it were drawn by Shel Silverstein.
What this shows is the small section at the start, followed by the big climb through Cull Canyon. Then there’s a very moderate section by Lake Chabot, followed by the treck to Skyline gate and back.
This is just my opinion but running the middle section to Skyline Gate seems easier than this chart suggests. The run up the Stream Trail is wooded and seems very moderate.
Gentle reminder: we’ll be running that middle section during the Transports Run this Wednesday, starting at Skyline Gate at 6:30 on September 12.
